DT301 Improves South African Mining Process

The IndPro stand attracted the attention of sugar makers worldwide

Touché, Smar’s DT301 concentration and density transmitter, was the center of attention at the 67th Annual Convention promoted by STAI, the Sugar Technologists Association of India. The event was held in Ahmedabad, Guajarat.

IndPro is Smar’s systems interface with the sugar and alcohol market in India and presented the DT301 at its booth. “The response from the sugar industry to Smar products is extremely positive. The DT301 was specifically identified as an ideal solution to close significant business”, declared Mr. Pratan Deshmukh, the Indian company’s Executive Director.

The brand name, “Touché” was inspired because of the transmitter’s precision design and sword-like shape. It was manufactured to improve sugar and alcohol production in process control applications and provides real-time and highly accurate feedback.

“The DT301 represents a revolution for India´s sugar market with regards to Brix Degree measurement applications”, comments Max Ludewig, Smar Middle East and Asia Business Manager. The Touché has been installed in numerous applications, such as primary juice, evaporators, must, syrup, molasses and alcoholic degree measurement.

The India exhibition was attended by 450 local sugar mill representatives with more than 2,500 visitors from the worldwide sector.
