India annual seminar discusses the world sugar business

Technical and professionals from all over the world gathered in Pune, India, for the 67th Annual Convention of the Deccan Sugar technologist Association (DSTA) for an analysis of the sector business.

It was attended by Pratap Deshmukh, from IndPro, SMAR Systems Integrator for the Sugar and Ethanol market in the country and a member of the Association Engineering Committee, who coordinated a presentation on the results found in the application of SMAR products. “Everyone approved the results presented by the Brazilian products,” stresses Mr. Deshmukh.

The study was titled “Co-Generation Engineering: The Dnyaneshwar Sugar Project” and was presented by a Dnyaneshwar Mills team, highlighting the performance of SMAR DCS SYSTEM302. The presentation also covered the improvement of boilers performance and water treatment for high pressure boilers, among other subjects.

Founded in the 1960´s, the DSTA is established in Pune and at present has 2,500 members and four committees, namely, agriculture, manufacture, engineering and co-product.
