Smar has significantly expanded its distribution in the Indian market and has now finalized the automation of the Pioneer Distillery in Pathankot, northern India. System302 was supplied to Pioneer in 2006 with the plant startup and commissioning and in the beginning of 2007, the facility became fully automated.
Consultant Lipids Systems Eng was responsible for the plant and IndPro coordinated integration of the control system with Smar System302, the modules, software and sensors. Smar supplied the controllers, HMI, input and output modules, differential pressure transmitters, remote seals, software configuration, orifice plate sensors and valves. IndPro handled the sale of the control panel, configuration software, orifice plate sensors and valves. “The results were excellent”, says Smar Business Manager Max Ludewig. “We think the project was successful due to the partnership with Lipids and their process know-how. The integration of Smar’s advanced technology was seamlessly implemented by IndPro – all to the benefit of Pioneer’s operations.”
