SMAR SYSTEM302 is validated at interoperability event

The OPC Foundation hosted its annual interoperability meeting at the OSIsoft company offices in Oakland, Ca. On the event, SMAR tested and validated its new OPC UA and OPC Xi technologies, which will be available on the next SYSTEM302 version.

The new technologies will enhance the SYSTEM302 value and capability, since they will enable the easy integration of plant floor data with company upper administration levels. The integration is made through safe and efficient web services. This trend was verified by 40 system specialists from several international manufacturers attending the gathering.

The Web Service is a set of components that enable the conversation between different applications regardless of the software or hardware used. Their technology is based on the XML – Extensible Markup Language, a language founded in tags. Web services are a fast way to integrate disconnected and remote systems between companies, their suppliers, clients and partners.

Delcio Prizon, Smar R & D Divison Manager, who attended the meeting, says that one the company´s mission is to “follow closely the market evolution and once again contribute to the development of the automation area and technologies.”
