The SMAR Beijing subsidiary team provided a training update on the new FY400 positioner.  The program took place in March and was presented by Product Manager Celso Nobre to Chinese technicians and engineers who specialize in industrial automation.

The workshop was held at the SMAR China facilities and was coordinated by Mike Wei, Subsidiary Manager. The presentation focused on the FY400 positioner’s primary innovative features, including automatic tuning process, non-mechanical sensor position, simplicity of installation, easy configuration and connectivity with other managing systems.

The participants were particularly attracted by the FY400 capability to supply data regarding the process status on the process control valves. The FY400 positioner includes diagnostics functions on the valve, as well as maintenance management applications, to anticipate valve maintenance requirements prior to fault alarm or malfunction issues or alarms.

With the growing market demand for high quality equipment, the FY400 diagnostics performs seamlessly to reduce costs in repair, production losses and unexpected process outages.

According to Celso Nobre, who monitored the presentations, the event complies with SMAR strategies for the international market. “This training program strengthens the company’s presence in a global market and continues to helps expand SMAR´s Brazilian technology internationally”, he indicated.

In resuming the SMAR new Guided Wave Radar launch from May-08, the RD400 Product Manager, Marcus Vinicius, presented a week-long with presentations of the technology at Beijing, China. “This is one of the most strategic markets to present the RD400 following the launch in Brazil. We’re beginning with China and are assuming an expeditious and considerable manufacturing increase in Brazil”.

Initially, the RD400 was presented to the SMAR team of engineers with the technical and marketing advantages. This was followed with introduction to the SMAR China representatives. The complete sales process was presented, which included analysis of the product which level is to be measured, installation conditions, projects to present to customers, configuration and after-sales services. This was done to clarify to the team that the RD400 is an innovative and wide-ranging solution for level measurement and not just a single product offering.

“We are all excited about the product and will work hard to sell it to the industry”, says Mike Wei, SMAR China Manager.
