Vale do Verdão Group inaugurated last year the Usina Floresta Sugar and Ethanol, its third producing unit. Located at Santo Antonio da Barra, Goiás state, the plant has the SMAR LC700 Logical Programmable Controller, LD301 transmitters and HART communication and initially will produce only ethanol.
The products will be used for monitoring and control the distillery field devices, which enable real-time visualization of each process stage, making it possible to quickly detect and correct failures. "The plant was designed to have the minimum possible manual contact. The project prioritized the operation via supervisory control, reducing costs in remote commands, cables, panels, electric conduits and manpower", informs Luciano Antonio Fachini, Usina Floresta Instrumentation Supervisor.
We are satisfied with the work accomplished by SMAR, he adds. “I believe that the post-sales period, the technical assistance, the commercial department and the applications engineering services are the company´s main differential. I congratulate SMAR for the proficiency of its team", concludes Fachini.
The Group, which invested R$ 250 million in the project, operates two more facilities in the region, the Usina Panorama, in Itumbiara and Usina Vale do Verdão, in Turvelandia.
