Thursday, August 18, 2011
LDC Citrus, a company located in Bebedouro, SP, Brazil - part of the Louis Dreifus Commodities Group, tested over six months the LD291I – SMAR Insertion Level Transmitter in its industrial process to measure the level of the water box condensed with sanitizer (chlorine dioxide) a bleacher used in orange juice production.
The tests were performed last March and the results were excellent, according to Edno Becassi, LDC Instrumentation Coordinator. “This transmitter solved a serious problem in our level measuring. We tested several devices, but the most satisfying one was the LD291I”, he added.
Evaristo Orellana, SMAR Product Manager, points out that LDC already uses other equipment made by the company, such as pressure and temperature transmitters, among others. “The recent launch of the Insertion Level Transmitters, the LD291I and its excellent results are instrumental for SMAR to produce a complete line of equipment for level measurement, offering its clients a wide variety of options among the most convenient for their applications”, he concludes.
