Smar is one of the Brazilian companies with the largest number of patents granted in the U.S., proving its leading edge technological capabilities. Last July, The United States Patents and Trademark Office granted two new patents, which now bring the total to 20 registered Smar U.S. patents.

“Smar plays a unique role in South America, by collaborating its scientific knowledge and process expertise into fine technology, for the benefit of both its clients and the country, and for example, saves balance-of-trade funds in order to prevent royalty payments”, says Pedro Biondo, Marketing Manager. “We are at the forefront of excellent Brazilian technological centers such as Embraer and Embrapa”, he adds.

Today, Smar technology is licensed to major companies in the automation sector, including Endress+Hauser and Rockwell. “Smar creates opportunities and promotes the company environment to encourage employees to apply their creativity and skill. Each achievement is added incentive and reciprocates the company’s confidence in each one of us”, says Omar Donaires, Systems Development Manager.
