Foundation Fieldbus Communication Stack

FBStack is the communication software that implements the FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus Protocol (Physical Layer Interface, Data Link Layer, Fieldbus Access Sublayer, Fieldbus Message Specification, System Management Kernel, System Management and Network Management). It is suitable to be used in the implementation of Basic and LAS Devices and HOST Systems.

FBStack has been designed for easy interfacing and portability to be used with a wide variety of microprocessors and communication controllers with special optimization for the Smar FB3050 Communication Controller. For field device implementation, there is also an optimization for the popular Motorola M68HC11 microprocessor. FBStack includes FBShell (Function Block Shell) as defined by Fieldbus Foundation.
