FP302
Foundation Fieldbus to Pneumatic Signal
Converter
In order to connect existing valve actuators to a FIELDBUS
system, SMAR developed a FIELDBUS to pneumatic signal converter, with
very low air consumption and a very stable output signal. A 0 to 100%
digital signal from the FIELDBUS is converted into a 3 to 15 psi pneumatic
signal according to a characteristic curve selected by the user. Besides
the normal PID control function, linearization, master capability, alarms
and damping, the FP302 offers signal limitation and reversing and many
other features for valve actuation:
- Output signal: 3 to 15 psi;
- Supply pressure: 20 psi;
- Air consumption: 0.15 scfm (20 psi supply pressure);
- The built-in volume booster allows high air capacity (4 SCFM);
- Vibrating resistant;
- Can be mounted in any position;
- Accuracy: 0.4 % of the span.
