Smar’s System302 application suite now includes a new component for Process Visualization, Data Acquisition, Advanced Alarming, Trend Analysis, Batch Control and much more.

Processview comes as the default option for operation workstation package on System302. In a modular design, Processview offers 3 basic packages: GraphworkX32, AlarmworkX32 and TrendworkX32, responsible for process visualization, alarm acquisition and management and historical trend acquisition and management respectively.

Processview also offers scripting capability through Visual Basic for Application, allowing for complex and flexible applications to be built. The graphic capabilities of Processview also differentiate this powerful tool. Processview deals easily with plain graphics and shapes as well as with gradient and fancy graphics. The ability to import bitmaps and metafiles also adds unprecedented degrees of freedom to the designer flexibility.

GraphworkX32 offers a complete drawing framework that makes easy the design of the fanciest drawings, using gradients, shadows and 3D perspective. The several degrees of animations, allow simple balls and levels to be animated as well as imported bitmaps. All this is used to generate a more user friendly environment for your operator to control the plant fast and safely.

AlarmworkX32 offers powerful alarm detection, sorting, filtering, viewing, logging, browser and database storage on several database formats. TrendworxX32 offers real-time trending and historical trending, logging, thousands of points into different user-defined groups. The operator can have instant access to any past alarm or value with a few clicks and seconds, allowing not only total control but also total awareness of the plant current and past history.

Processview also comes with a distributed enterprise wide alarm and events management system, WEB viewer, for remote visualization of the system and a totally reliable architecture with redundant databases and connection to redundant OPC servers. Processview also runs on Windows CE devices like pocket PCs, such as Compaq’s IPAQ, offering an incredible option for wireless operation of the plant. The operator can stroke valves or tune a control loop, directly in the field, with all the information and graphics of the control room.

Processview is built using the OPC technology as its core integration technology, as well as, the most modern graphic and animation techniques, making it the most modern operator workstation package in the market. Processview integrates with Smar’s OPC servers (DFI, PCI and LC700), as well as with any other OPC server available, turning into System302’s perfect integration package to any 3^rd Party hardware with and OPC server.
